Dear Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that UNOCT/UNCCT invites you to commemorate the International Day of Remembrance of and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism

High-level virtual event and screening of short film “Not Forgotten: Stories of Remembrance from Victims of Terrorism” 21 August 2020 at 10.00- 11.40 am EST.

During the event, there will be a panel discussion about the importance of remembering victims of terrorism, including those who have been killed and those who are left behind with the consequences. The panel will also discuss why it is important to have an International Day, and the impact of the current COVID-19 pandemic on commemoration of anniversaries. We would like you to submit questions to be posed to the panelists, which comprises of victims of terrorism and victims’ associations from around the world. Questions will be taken on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis, so please submit your questions as soon as possible and no later than 7 August 2020.
