VSE Submits Recommendations for the EU Gender Equality Strategy 2026–2030

VSE has submitted its recommendations for the EU Gender Equality Strategy 2026–2030!

VSE is calling for a bold, victim-centred and rights-based approach to gender-based violence (GBV)—one that moves beyond commitments to real change on the ground. The next Strategy must:

• Recognise GBV as a structural barrier to equality;
• Ensure full implementation of EU victims’ rights;
• Guarantee safe access to justice, protection, and support for all victims, regardless of gender, identity or background;
• Mainstream victims’rights, early intervention, protection measures, support, and trauma-informed care in EU frameworks

Victims’ voices and lived experiences must guide EU action. Now is the time to transform legal rights into lived realities.
