Victim Support Europe Welcomes Two New Members!

We are very pleased to welcome Katambayi Tshiminyi and Cyprus Third Age Observatory to our network of European Victim Support organizations.

VSE membership gives organisations unparalleled access not only to our in-house expertise but also to other network members, and to the EU institutions and international organisations with whom we collaborate and whose representatives regularly speak at our events.

Katambayi Tshiminyi Association

Katambayi Tshiminyi Association specializes in psychosocial and legal support for victims of abuse and violence in Belgium and in Congo. Their mission is to help people who have suffered trauma or injustice to regain their emotional balance, rebuild their lives and obtain justice.

They provide psychosocial support to victims by listening to them, offering them a safe space to express their emotions and providing them with practical advice to cope with the consequences of their traumatic experience. Additionally, they also offer legal assistance to victims like information on their rights, help in legal proceedings, legal representation if necessary and advocacy for victims’ rights.

Cyprus Third Age Observatory

Cyprus Third Age Observatory promotes and safeguards the human rights of elderly people and improve their quality of life based on the policies, principles, and values of the European Union and the Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations. The people of the Third Age have the right to a life without age discrimination, equal opportunities and treatment, and active social participation at all levels.

CTAO promotes healthy ageing with a broader understanding, acknowledges age maturity as the natural course of life, and focuses on the importance of expectancy for a better and more meaningful quality of life.
