Trafficking in Human Beings: Understanding and Interpreting its Changing Landscape
VANGUARD aims to strengthen the fight against THB at the nexus of advanced technological solutions, understanding, awareness raising, and training to disrupt the trafficking chain at an early stage and address the culture of impunity, with particular focus on THB for purposes of sexual exploitation, labour exploitation, and forced criminality. The webinar will explore the evolving dynamics of human trafficking and present societal-oriented research findings from the VANGUARD Horizon Europe project.
The discussions will focus on:
- Vulnerabilities of victims and perpetrators in the new AI era
- The role of survivors in countering trafficking
- Holistic approaches to support professionals in the field
- Lessons from European cooperation on THB
The event is organised in collaboration with other EU-funded projects addressing human trafficking, including Eradicating Labour Trafficking, ASIT, DISRUPT, and SafeBorders, promoting cross-project dialogue and knowledge exchange. The outcomes will contribute to enhancing the European Union’s understanding of and fight against the human trafficking phenomenon by raising awareness and preventing further exploitation.
The webinar will take place on October 22, 2025, online, and it will last for 2 hours (from 11:00-13:00 CEST)
