Slachtofferhulp Nederland to Host Victimology Summer School 2024

On 29 and 30 August, Slachtofferhulp Nederland, the Knowledge Network of Victimology in the Netherlands (ViNe) and the Netherlands Study Centre for Crime and Law Enforcement (NSCR) will organise the sixth edition of the Victimology Summer School. The Summer School is intended for policy officers, chain partners, scientists and Master/PhD students working in the field of victim care and victimological research.

The 2024 edition is dedicated to large-scale victimisation. This occurs when one event or a single perpetrator causes many victims. Lectures and interactive sessions by inspiring speakers address questions such as: What are the forms of large-scale victimisation? What is the impact of large-scale attacks on victims? How are victims assisted in such events? And in what way does large-scale victimisation affect the possibilities of justice and recovery?
