Dear Members,
We received a reminder from the FRA Fundamental Rights Platform Team to participate in the Online Meeting “Human rights work in challenging times – ways forward”. Below is the full e-mail from FRA, which explains the reasoning behind the invitation.
____
Dear civil society organisations,
The 2021 Fundamental Rights Platform (FRP) online meeting is fast approaching – please mark the date in your calendars:
01 February 2021 from 14:00-18:00
“Human rights work in challenging times – ways forward”
Please find the draft programme below. Along with FRA Director Michael O’Flaherty, European Commissioner for Equality Helena Dalli and UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights Defenders Mary Lawlor will address our meeting.
Registrations will open early next week, when you will receive a separate invitation email with a registration link.
Would your organisation like to host a breakout session?
We are inviting organisations to host one of our 60-minute breakout sessions, which will discuss how civil society has responded to current human rights challenges (whether in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic or beyond). Please consider sharing your experiences, good practices and recommendations on how to address the human rights challenges in your area of work. Those interested should contact frp@fra.europa.eu. Available slots will be distributed with the aim of ensuring a thematic and geographical balance.
We look forward to welcoming you on 1 February.
Best wishes,
Andreas Accardo,
Head of Unit Institutional Cooperation and Networks
