The Annual General Meeting will take place on Tuesday, 21 May 2024. More information about its programme and the venue will be shared at a later stage.

VSE Annual Conference 2024 – The Bridge Over Troubled Water: Celebrating and Strengthening Victim Support

VSE Annual Conference 2024 will take place in Zagreb on 22 and 23 May 2024. It will be a hybrid conference, and we hope to welcome victim support community and affiliated professionals from around the world both on-site, at the Hotel Antunovic Zagreb, and digitally.

The 2024 edition, titled “The Bridge Over Troubled Water”, builds upon the foundation laid by its predecessors, aspiring to create a collaborative space where stakeholders from diverse sectors converge to celebrate achievements, address challenges, and forge pathways for a more resilient and victim-centred future.

By aligning with the National Framework for Comprehensive Victim Support, the conference aims to contribute significantly to the enhancement of victim support services, recognising their profound impact on both individuals and society as a whole.

Furthermore, the conference will uniquely approach its various aspects, including collaborative dynamics and challenges, through the lens of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring a comprehensive exploration of how each facet contributes to broader global sustainability objectives.

Acknowledging that victim support is as essential as healthcare, the conference emphasises the critical role it plays in fostering well-being and societal resilience. It underscores that the National Framework for Victim Support serves as a foundational cornerstone, providing the necessary structure and collaboration required to make victim support systems functioning effectively.

Accommodation at conference venue (recommended)

We highly recommend booking your stay at the conference venue itself. Why?

It offers unparalleled convenience during the event days. For a discounted rate, you will be just steps away from all the action, sessions, and networking opportunities. Additionally, with the city centre being quite a distance away, staying on-site ensures you won’t miss out on any key moments or valuable connections. On top of this, you can enjoy the hotel’s wellness facilities (included in the discounted venue price): usage of the pool, whirlpool, small fitness centre, sauna and sunny meadow in their Aspa wellness centre. Make the most of your conference experience and secure your accommodation at the venue. How?

Complete this booking form and send it directly to the hotel at: rezervacije@antunovic.hr. Your reservation will be directly handled by the conference venue.

If you have any additional questions regarding the conference, please do not hesitate to reach out to Lieselotte Van Den Heuvel at l.vandenheuvel@victimsupporteurope.eu.
