Public consultation: Fighting child sexual abuse: detection, removal and reporting of illegal content online

Dear VSE Members

The European Commission launched this consultation to gather the views of the public on fighting child sexual abuse.

This initiative sets out the responsibilities of relevant online service providers, requiring them to detect and report child sexual abuse online and to report that material to public authorities.

The Commission will also explore creating a European centre to prevent and counter child sexual abuse.
