Open Call for Contributions: VSE Annual Conference Short Film

We are excited to announce an open call for your active participation in creating a heart-warming and impactful short film for our upcoming annual conference ‘The Bridge Over Troubled Water: Celebrating and strengthening victim support’ which will take place in Zagreb on 22 – 23 May 2024.  

The theme of the film revolves around expressing gratitude and showcasing the diverse support that Victim Support provides across various sectors. 

Task Description: 

Capture a photo or record a 10-sec video of representatives from different sectors expressing their heartfelt “Thank You, Victim Support” messages (examples: “THANK YOU, VICTIM SUPPORT MALTA!”, “THANK YOU, VICTIM SUPPORT THE NETEHRLANDS!”, “THANK YOU, WEISSER RING!”). We aim to feature individuals or groups from the following sectors: 

Societal Services: 

• Representatives from education, medical institutions, social services, etc. 

Justice Sector: 

• Members from the police, courts, and other justice-related entities. 

Private Sector: 

• Individuals or teams from the private sector. 

Victims of Crime: 

• Individuals who have benefited from Victim Support. 

Setting: 

All photos and videos should be taken on a bridge, symbolizing the idea of support as a bridge. This consistent setting will visually represent the unity and connection fostered by Victim Support. 

Creative Elements: 

• Participants can use various props such as paper signs, blackboards, whiteboards, mirrors, or branded clothing to convey their messages. 
• The “Thank You, Victim Support” message can be written or displayed creatively in the chosen setting. 
• Participants are encouraged to express their gratitude in diverse ways, making the visuals captivating and impactful.

Submission Deadline: 

Please submit your photos or videos by 1 April 2024. We encourage creativity and diversity in your submissions, aiming to showcase the collective appreciation from different sectors. 

Submission Guidelines: 

• Photos and videos should be of high resolution and quality. 
• Clearly indicate the sector represented in your submission.
