France Victimes
The France Victimes federation (formerly INAVEM) was created in 1986 and formed a federation thanks to the change of the association’s statutes in June 2004 and changed its name in 2017.
The Federation is part of a history, asserts its legitimacy and its expertise by having a broad national representation, by working in close collaboration with many partners, operational and financial. From the start, France Victimes has forged links internationally and continues to be part of an international dynamic.
France Victimes, a federation of 130 victim assistance associations across France, is funded by several ministries, the first of which is the Ministry of Justice.
The object of the Federation is to promote and develop aid and assistance for victims, mediation practices and any other measure contributing to improving recognition of victims.
The main objectives of France Victimes are:
- Definition and evaluation of victim assistance missions,
- Coordination and support to member victim assistance associations,
- Information and awareness-raising for professionals and the general public to help victims.
