Katambayi Tshiminyi Association – Belgium

· Belgium

The Katambayi Tshiminyi Association is a Belgium-based non-profit organisation, founded in 2015, with a mission to provide holistic support to victims of violence and vulnerable populations, both in Belgium and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The organisation offers a wide range of victim support services, including emotional and psychological support, legal assistance, court preparation, medical referrals, and social and administrative aid. Each year, the Association supports approximately 1,000 victims through its services. The Association’s work is rooted in victimology and psychotraumatology and led by its founder, Bobo Katambayi Tshiminyi — a certified expert in both fields. In addition to direct support, the organisation engages in advocacy, training, public awareness, and research. Its approach is informed by both local needs and international perspectives, bridging support services between Belgium and the DRC.
