Important publication: FRA’s survey findings on crime victimisation

Dear VSE members,

We are pleased to raise your attention to the results of the first-ever EU-wide survey on crime victimisation that was published yesterday by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights.

The report is based on a survey among 35 000 people in EU Member States and gives information about people’s experiences with violence, harassment, and property crime. The report also examines how often these crimes are reported to the police and what are the reasons for not reporting. Thanks to this valuable data, we will be able to advance in a more targeted manner with the actions under the EU Strategy on victims’ rights (2020-2025).
