Call for Participants: EU CVT Hybrid Training Course for Professionals – Planning for the Response to Victims of Terrorism
EU CVT is pleased to announce the launch of the EU CVT Hybrid Training for Professionals: Planning for the Response to Victims of Terrorism.
The course is for representatives of national authorities who are responsible for the management and care of victims of terrorism, including law enforcement, members of the judiciary, prosecutors, major incident response planners, emergency services, representatives of compensation authorities, etc., national victim support organisations as well as other professionals with a demonstrated professional interest in issues of victims of terrorism.
This interactive and experiential hybrid course will provide professionals who have a responsibility to respond to and support victims of terrorism, with the tools to ensure that the needs of victims of terrorism are taken care of, enabling their journey of recovery to be well supported in the short, medium and long-term following an attack. It includes attacks takes place in country or for nationals who are affected in attacks abroad.
The course methodology includes online and in-person individual learning exercises, group activities, and scenario-based learning, as well as the completion of an assignment after the learning modules have been completed. The application process is now open, and we would kindly ask you to disseminate this information to relevant professionals in your networks. Interested professionals can apply here.
Successful applicants will need to complete the first three sections of the training online, prior to attending the ‘in person’ training days. Please see dates for in person training below, and the closing dates for applications is tight, but is balanced with the need to assess applicants and allow enough time to complete the online sections, prior to the in-person dates.

The first 3 course dates and locations are confirmed for applicants’ resident in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal and Spain. Further dates and locations will be released once confirmed for residents of remaining EU Member States.
